Phra Kring / Phra Chaiwat Roon Buddho, Luang Pu Toh, Wat Pradoochimplee, Bangkok, B.E.2524



Phra Kring / Phra Chaiwat Roon “Buddho” was the last batch of Phra Kring / Phra Chaiwat produced by Wat Pradoochimplee and consecrated by Luang Pu Toh. The consecration ceremony which involves the pouring of the gold was done in the temple on 15th February, B.E. 2524. Luang Pu Toh presided over the ceremony with 9 other highly-respected monks who were invited to bless including Luang Phor Thong Yoo, Wat Mai Nong Pa Ong.

After the ceremony was completed and during the process of fine polishing the batch of Phra Kring / Phra Chaiwat Roon “Buddho”, Luang Pu Toh passed away peacefully on 5th March, B.E. 2524. After the polishing was completed for the entire batch, Luang Phor Thong Yoo personally blessed the amulets again all by himself. When Wat Pradoochimplee organised a grand ceremony to consecrate Luang Pu Toh’s life-sized statue which the King had participated personally in the pouring of the gold, Phrakru Viroj Kittikhun (the successor to Luang Pu Toh) brought along this batch of Phra Kring / Phra Chaiwat to the ceremony. The Supreme Monk of the Highest Office in Thailand Somdej Phra Sangkaraj Yannasangvorn presided over the ceremony and Luang Phor Thong Yoo participated in the consecration ceremony as well.

The quantity produced for Phra Kring is 1,500 pieces and Phra Chaiwat is 3,000 pieces. Both Phims were struck with the code “Tor” (the initials of Luang Pu Toh), at the back of the Phra Kring and at the base of the Phra Chaiwat. The base of the Phra Chaiwat was additionally filled with the melted candle (Thian Chai) from the ceremony together with Luang Pu Toh’s hair.
